Morton West High School is a four-year, comprehensive high school that was founded in 1958 and enrolls more than 3,200 students in grades 9 through 12. Its academic curriculum includes various subjects, such as English, mathematics, social studies, science and physical education. The school offers special education programs for students with mental, learning, behavioral and emotional disabilities. It provides opportunities to participate in a variety of athletic activities, including tennis, cheerleading, swimming, football, cross country, soccer, volleyball and golf. Additionally, the school offers several extracurricular activities, such as scholastic bowl, student council, Special Olympics, National Honor Society, and Latino, guitar, French, bowling, Asian and art clubs.
