National Marine Manufacturers Association, headquartered in Chicago, was established in 1979 with the merger between the Boating Industry Association of Chicago and National Association of Engine & Boat Manufacturers of New York. It has more than 1,500 member companies, and provides a wide variety of programs and services, including technical expertise, standards monitoring, government relations avocation, industry statistics. NMMA stages a wide range of trade shows, including IBEX and the Marine Aftermarket Accessories Trade Show, to bring retailers and wholesalers together with American and international marine manufacturers.
