McClure Junior High School employs social workers, reading specialists, resource and enrichment educators, and speech and language pathologists. The school serves approximately 500 students in grades six through eight. Its core curriculum includes several subjects, such as literature, grammar, mathematics, science, social studies, and health and physical education. McClure Junior High School offers foreign language classes in Spanish and French. The school organizes special classes in visual arts, home economics, vocal music and study skills. Its student activities include spelling bee competitions, writing contests, and math and drama teams. Located in Western Springs, Ill., McClure Junior High School sponsors several athletic activities, such as cross country, softball, basketball, cheerleading, volleyball, soccer, table tennis and kickball. The school is governed by Western Springs School District 101.
