Marquette Catholic High School, a coeducational institution of the Diocese of Springfield in Alton, Ill., offers education in the Catholic tradition. The school was founded by the Ursuline Sisters in 1927, and has been fully accredited by the North Central Association of colleges and Secondary Schools since 1929. Its curriculum includes English, composition, consumer education, health, United States history, U.S. government and constitution exam, and physical education. The school also offers classes in mathematics, fine arts, social studies, lab sciences, and summer reading program. Its sports program includes baseball, basketball, cheerleading, cross-country, football, golf, ice hockey, soccer, tennis, softball, swimming, volleyball, and track and field events.
