Maranatha Chapel is located on the westernmost tip of Evergreen Park. Lead by Pastors Doug and Lamond Banks, the church places a strong emphasis on serving God and appreciating diversity. The church has several ministries, geared toward children, youth/college-aged, adults, different ethnic groups and those who want to do missions work.
Members may enroll their children in nursery or toddler care. Older children may participate in the Children's Church, Royal Rangers mentoring program for boys and Mpact Clubs for girls, that focuses on developing girls' lives. Different adult ministries include the men's and women's ministries, seniors ministry and a missions prayer group.
One of Maranatha Chapel's Ethnic ministries is the Hispanic Ministry, which has a Spanish worship service, bible study classes. The Arabic Ministry has services and bible studies in Arabic. The church's outreach programs include ESL classes and missions trips that the church takes once or twice a year. For more information on classes and trips, please visit the church's Web site.
