Lockwood Park is a facility of the Rockford Park District. Formed in 1909, the Rockford Park District is a place where everyone is invited and belongs. We are your home for sports and recreation in the Rockford area. Visit one of our many parks, walk our paths and trails, or have fun at one of our facilities.

Lockwood Park Trailside Equestrian Centre and Children's Farm is home to a variety of animals including horses, goats, sheep, llama, rabbits, ducks, a donkey - and everyone's favorite, Huckleberry and his pony friends. Explore over 146 acres of gently rolling hills, meadows, woods, natural areas, stream, 15-mile numbered trail system (hiking, biking, or horseback riding), playground, picnic areas, and much more.
