Auburn High School
Built in 1960 and located in Rockford, Ill., Auburn High School operates under Rockford Public Schools. The school offers classes to more than 1,700 students annually in grades nine through 12. Its curriculum includes various subjects, such as English, math, foreign languages, special education, creative and performing arts, music, arts and dance, career education and information technology. Auburn High School also offers a variety of services and activities for students, including peer mediation, student council, grief support, peer tutoring, online resource database, psychological counseling and student assistance program. The school provides various student clubs, such as theater and media clubs, newspaper and French clubs, athletics, philosophy and multicultural clubs, National Honor Society and chess club. It also provides special education programs for students with disabilities. The school s facilities include art studios, outside patios, computer laboratories, a library and auditorium, medical science laboratory and swimming pools.
