Since 1893, Butler Funeral Homes & Cremation Tribute Center has been trusted to provide the community with professional and compassionate funeral services. 1893: Founders Ben Kirlin and Ed Egan merged their funeral home and livery services at 4th and Adams Streets, later moving the funeral home to the west side of S. 6th Street. 1927: The funeral home was relocated to its present address at 900 S. 6th Street. After the deaths of Ben Kirlin and Ed Egan, Mary Kirlin continued to operate the funeral home. 1940: Longtime employee Harold Butler assumed ownership of the firm; he died in 1963 1965: The funeral home was purchased by Harold Butler's nephews, John
