History
Chartered in 1937, KCT Credit Union was formed through the tireless efforts of Miss Martha Black, a teacher in the then Elgin Public Schools District, and Mr. E. Earl McCoy, then Kane County Superintendent of Schools. Throughout the years, KCTCU has grown through increased membership, mergers, and charter changes. The most significant of these changes occurred in 1998 when KCTCU was granted a Community Charter for the counties of DeKalb, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kendall, McHenry and Cook County west of Route 83.
