Founded in 1924, the Junior League of Evanston-North Shore is a women's organization committed to the causes of volunteering and improving communities. The group has more than 400 members and has contributed more than $1.6 million to local organizations in its history. Members organize service projects and also manage a thrift store in Evanston called the Thrift House. Some of the causes the Junior League supports include financial self-sufficiency, self-esteem, domestic violence awareness.
