History
When Joseph Camarda came to Chicago from Sicily in 1952, his American dream was to open his own business. Coming from a family with a long tradition in the food industry, Joseph decided to learn the butchering trade. After years of working in the trade, Joseph was inspired to follow his vision of creating an old-fashioned butcher shop with a bit of Italian flare. Even though the meat industry was moving quickly toward the big supermarket chains, Joseph believed that people still valued high quality meats with high quality professional butchers. In 1977, Joseph risked it all and finally opened Joseph's Finest Meats. Over 4 decades later, Joseph's Finest Meats is still the place to go to in Chicago if you're looking for the best meats with real butchers behind the counter to service you.
