History
Dr. Russell Williams was born and raised in Ohio, just outside of Cleveland. It was during his undergraduate career that he decided to pursue a healthcare career. His initial interest began with cleft lips, but a colleague advised him to enter oral surgery because it would provide him the opportunity to work extensively on the facial region. He has fulfilled that goal and has been able to treat clefts during mission trips that he took over the last approximately 20 years. Dr. Williams served in the Army as an oral surgeon after his oral and maxillofacial surgical training, during which he had the opportunity to work with an oral surgeon trained under Dr. Hugo Obwegeser, the Father of Modern Orthographic Surgery. He also served as the Director of oral surgical training and general dental residency at Fort Hood, Texas. Dr. Williams truly enjoys being able to help people and finds their joyous reactions to be the most rewarding part of his job.
