History
On July 30, 2010, alumni from the Harold Washington College founded Inspiring Minds Group NFP in Chicago, Illinois. The theater company started as a creative outlet for aspiring actors, producers, and directors while providing workshops and community events such as open mic nights. Within the company's 9-year run, it has produced What Really Happened, Need for Completion, A Song for Eternity, Church'in With Church Folks, and Rise of the Real Man. In 2019, the theater organization's founders saw a need to reach out to a broader target market. So the company sought ways to reach out both on a local and national level. On November 18, 2019, the company was incorporated as a new entity called the Inspiring Minds Production.
