The East Moline Correctional Center, governed by the Illinois Department of Corrections, has been operational since 1980. It houses more than 650 inmates. The correctional facility provides a range of programs and services for adult male inmates. The East Moline Correctional Center also offers support to surrounding communities assisting with storm and general cleanup. It operates in northwestern Illinois and maintains over 25 buildings. The correctional facility has housing, health care and segregation units. The East Moline Correctional Center provides adult basic education and general education development programs. It additionally offers the Youth Offender Program. The correctional facility provides worship and psychological solutions.
