Frank Bongiovanni, DPM
Dr. Frank Bongiovanni was inspired to become a podiatrist by his father, who worked for the Dr. Scholl company making orthotic shoes. Today, Dr. Bongiovanni is an associate professor at the Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine and a practicing board-certified physician at Weil Foot & Ankle Institute.
In addition to general podiatry training, Dr. Bongiovanni is board-certified in pedorthics, which is handmade custom orthotics, braces, shoes, and/or shoe customization to correct issues with the foot or ankle. In fact, one of Dr. Bongiovanni's orthotic devices once was used by a mountaineer scaling Mt. Everest! He also specializes in bunion, hammertoe, and plantar fasciitis surgeries and using the Lunula laser to treat fungal nails.
