Handcrafted Tradition For More Than 30 Years Hollingworth Candies specializes in handcrafting toffees and chocolate candies. Our mission is to provide high quality candies and excellent customer service. Our story begins at home. Hollingworth Candies was founded by Margaret Carlson in 1982. She started making English toffee one pound at a time in her home kitchen, along with her neighbor, and selling candy at craft shows. Margaret's husband, Chester, after retiring, joined her in cooking the toffees and brittles. Since opening, Margaret's commitment to pure, natural ingredients and handmade toffees remains unchanged. The business remains in the family--daughter Wendy Carver was welcomed into the business and they opened the Lockport storefront in 1993. Their product offerings expanded to include sea salt caramels, Chesters, caramel apples and molded chocolates. Wendy's creativity and expertise continues the Hollingworth Candies tradition today, now in its storefront and online shop.
