About GREDF Great River Economic Development Foundation is a private, not-for-profit corporation serving Quincy and Adams County, Illinois. We also collaborate regionally with Western Illinois, Northeast Missouri and Southeast Iowa. Our first priority is to retain existing businesses and help them grow. We also assist prospective businesses, site consultants and entrepreneurs, and take the lead in a variety of initiatives that contribute to our outstanding quality of life. Our services are confidential. Our mission is to expedite the development process, and to pro-actively make Quincy and Adams County a better place to live, work and grow. GREDF is governed by a 24-member board of directors who represent the private sector, as well as leadership from the City, County and region. About 30% of GREDF's operating budget comes from the public sector, while membership and contracts provide about 70 percent. The GREDF staff consists of three full-time and three part-time employees, along with associates who manage related activities and contracts. Great River Economic Development Foundation is located in the Oakley-Lindsay Center in downtown Quincy. The center also is home to The Quincy Community Theater, The Quincy Area Chamber of Commerce, The Quincy Society of Fine Arts and The United Way of Adams County.
