Orland Park's Granite City Food & Brewery, nestled in the far north end of the Orland Crossing shopping plaza, is one of the chain's three Illinois locations. In business since December 2007, the Orland Park branch has made itself a community staple after earning the franchise mark for highest guest service value in 2009. In the words of manager Adam Bieranowski, Granite City offers a dining atmosphere on par with Applebee's, with the quiet elegance of an Olive Garden. Or, as the Granite City corporate slogan would put it, "polished but casual." With extensive outdoor seating and a full bar offering several homemade micro-brewed beers, Granite City is a solid choice for a relaxing afternoon lunch or a place to catch the game.
