Gleneagles Country Club is a charming and cultivated golf course located just off McCarthy Road in Lemont. In existence since 1924, Gleneagles Country Club is home of the shotgun start and although they didn't invent it, they have perfected it and hold between 100 to 150 outings every year. This golf club is comprised of two 18-hole courses, meticulously manicured by the same greenskeeper for more than 40 years.
There is much tradition and history at the Gleneagles Country Club. It hosted the Chicago Open, a stop on the PGA Tour, in 1958 and 1959, hosting the big names of the time. Now, you can play here too. The course usually opens in early spring sometime and doesn't shut its doors until Thanksgiving weekend. So come out to Gleneagles Country Club and enjoy a masterpiece.
Gleneagles also has a restaurant and golf shop on its premesis.
