GMS North is the newer, mirror image of GMS South as well as South's next-door neighbor and partner. Built in 2006, the school is a modern, comfortable facility that, like all Geneva schools, has a high percentage of students who meet or exceed state standards.
"We've embraced the middle school concept and made two communities called 'teams' at each grade level," Principal Larry Bidlack said. "A core group of teachers share about 120 students. These teams foster a sense of belonging for students and aid in the transition from elementary to middle school."
What makes the school special? "We have a variety of extracurriculars designed to get kids involved, and a variety of exploratory offerings, from tech-ed to foreign languages to an outstanding band, chorus and orchestra," Bidlack said. "We also have great kids coming through our doors and a hugely supportive community of parents."
