History
In the cattle business for 40 years, we sold cuts of beef to customers. We wanted to retire from grain farming and working in town. What went with beef? Wine! We checked out the wine industry all around us and it fit! We planted grapes, built a building to process them and began the journey that still continues to this day. When folks came by to see what we were doing, we brought them in to opine how to finish our wines. Our opening day had 8 inches of snow outside but all those winemakers who helped us determine what we would offer came anyway, and we've been busy ever since! We have grown since we opened February 2, 2008. The winery has tripled in size and we now have 80 retailers selling our wine throughout Central Illinois, in addition to customers visiting year 'round at the winery. Family, friends and neighbors are part of our company, and we work hard to make a product that will enhance any special event, whether a wedding or just a Wednesday afternoon.
