Foley's Pond is located in a unique part of the Highland Park Park District. There is on-street parking and a trail leading you to Foley's Pond. It is very isolated, and a great spot for fishing. Foley's Pond is surrounded on all sides by Mesic Closed Savanna. The pond serves as a rest stop for migratory birds, especially in the spring and fall. The area is populated by rabbits, mallards, wood ducks, various songbird species, kingfishers, red-headed woodpeckers, scarlet tanagers, orioles, carp and catfish, among others.
