History
EFR is located in the former Bloomington's Central Fire Station, built in 1902. The main dining room is where the engine stalls once were, the kitchen was once the horse stable, & the firemen's upstairs barracks are now the Anju Above restaurant, & the Ballroom / Bell Tower banquet spaces where many wedding receptions, dinners, and meetings are catered & served by the Epiphany Farms Events team. The now-covered fireman's pole openings can still be seen in the EFR dining room ceiling. The space was open from the late 70s as Central Station Cafe & Station 220 respectively, until the Epiphany team took over in 2009, completely upcycling the space & regenerating the culture & cuisine. Since then, EFR has constantly evolved to include & feature more ingredients from the company's own beyond-organic farm. More interior renovations & exciting menu enhancements (including brunch!) coming soon!
