Since 1967, Berghaus Organs, based in Bellwood, Ill., has been manufacturing and maintaining pipe organs for churches, synagogues, residences and institutions of higher learning. The company does not sell pre-designed instruments, instead it works closely with each client to create a custom instrument in accordance with the acoustics of the space. Berghaus organs maintains active membership in several trade organizations including The American Institute of Organ Builders, The International Society of Organ Builders, The Associated Pipe Organ Builders of America, The Organ Historical Society and The American Guild of Organists. Routine tuning, complete restoration and rebuilding of existing pipe organs are included in the services of the company.
