History
I am a licensed clinical psychologist with experience in the mental health field since 1983 in both inpatient and outpatient settings. My career in mental health began as a psychiatric nurse at Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois where I worked in the locked adult inpatient psychiatric unit. I taught at Rush University in Chicago, Illinois for thirteen years (1987-2000), and provided clinical supervision to psychiatric nurses and psychiatric residents during their psychotherapy rotations. Over the course of my graduate studies I worked with adolescent and adult populations in a variety of inpatient and outpatient settings including University of Illinois Hospital, West Side (Chicago) and Hines Veteran Administrations (Maywood), Mercy Medical Center (Aurora), and Rush University Medical Center. I earned my doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 1995, and have been in private practice specializing in individual and couples therapy & counseling since 1997.
