History
Carl Grantham moved his store to Arthur from Kincaid, Illinois in March 1933. * rumor is he moved the pharmacy and fountain due to coal mine wars and one too many bullets through a window . Noel C. Dicks, bought the store in January 1960 *1960 to 1995. Noel made an effort to collect photos of the pharmacists and physicians who had practiced in Arthur. The project mushroomed and he became interested in the history of the town.. the store was sold to Bruce Wood in 1995. *Bruce's Glass Soda Bottle collection is on display at the store
