The Division of Children and Family Services, also known as DCFS, operates more than 40 offices throughout Washington. It is a part of the Washington State Department of Social and Health Services, which offers a range of rehabilitative and health care assistance solutions. The department provides adoption and foster parenting services. It administers a domestic violence program, as well as offers emergency counseling and legal advocacy solutions for children and families. The Washington State Department of Social and Health Services operates several crisis residential centers and provides independent living and family reconciliation and preservation solutions. The department also conducts an educational advocacy program.
