Talk-A-Phone started in the 1930s as manufacture of low- and high- priced record players. The company worked for the military and industry producing intercoms in the 1940s. Intercom and emergency phone systems for the military and industry was Talk-A-Phones core business through the 1970s. Since then the company has provided communication equipment for banks, fast food restaurants, automated gas stations and convenience stores. Now Talk-A-Phone constructs low powered radio frequency and cellular communication units.
