For more than 20 years, the Chicago Philharmonic Orchestra has been thrilling North Shore audiences with its brilliant performances under the direction of principal conductor Larry Rachleff. Founded as Symphony II, the Chicago Philharmonic performs on Sundays at Northwestern University's Pick-Staiger auditorium, which is renowned for its acoustics and intimacy as a performance space. Many of the orchestra's musicians are drawn from Chicago's famed Lyric Opera orchestra. Previous performances have included famous conductors such as Zubin Mehta.
