Established in 1971, Centers for New Horizons is a culture-based organization, providing various holistic approach community development programs, centered on strengthening families. Early care and education is the foundational program of the organization, supporting working parents, and enabling young children to get early childhood education. The center provides childhood care to children up to 5, and a language and math curriculum that also focuses on the arts, exploring cultural legacy, self-confidence, social skills, and active play. It also offers youth and family development programs that provide out of school hours programming for children and youth of ages 6 to 19. It provides employment and training programs, and Bronzeville service connector program that enables former public housing tenants to live in mixed income neighborhoods, find employment, and access public benefits. Its services include provider, foster care and adoption, counseling, and community building services. Centers for New Horizons is located in Chicago.
