History
Started as a side business in 1998 to compliment my work in social services, this practice has grown and developed to be my full time practice. I appreciate the freedom to combine several of my interests and talents- adding workshop and retreat leadership to my psychotherapy services.
Specialties
Providing Individual, Couples, and Family Therapy with specialized clinical training to help those who identify as gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender or are questioning their sexual orientation as well as those who have or are impacted by HIV/AIDS or other life-threatening/serious illnesses. Along with psychotherapy, I can provide Pastoral Counseling- a type of counseling that identifies the faith resources of an individual and employs them as an additional focus for reflection, insight, growth and direction. Pastoral Counseling is open to any faith tradition and focuses on the spiritual path as identified by the individual. Pastoral Counseling is not imposed, but an additional approach for those requesting it. I am also available for retreats, workshops and seminars specifically developed to meet the needs of a group within a church, business, or non-profit organization. Topics range from deepening leadership and team-building relationships to targeted educational enrichment.
