History
Brooks canine center was established in 1989 as a boarding and dog training facility in Northbrook, IL. Throughout the years, the canine center has relocated to a home setting in Des Plaines, Il. Brooks Canine Center has an extensive background in the care and training of a wide variety of breeds and behavioral issues. The center has acted as a columnist for the Daily Herald and Journal and Topics writing and answering questions on canine behavior. The center works closely with numerous rescue organizations helping to train and place rescue dogs in their forever homes. Brooks Canine Center has also gained the attention of many well known sports and television superstars including Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Jimmy Butler, Taj Gibson, Scott Conant, and have trained dogs for the National Geographic Wild Show My Dog Ate What?. The staff at Brooks Canine Center has been with them since as early as 1998 and is highly trained in recognizing behavior in dogs as well as their overall care.
