Breakthrough Urban Ministries, founded in 1992, provides neighborhood-based holistic services that empower individuals, families, and urban communities to overcome poverty, addiction and isolation. The organization offers homeless centers and services for men and women, a street outreach to women in prostitution, and a youth and family outreach program. It empowers men to break free from homelessness, addictions, and other barriers to employment. It also helps women in crisis, and offers them a variety of services, including case management, referrals, daily meals, overnight shelter, street outreach, medical screening, health education, and Bible study.
