The Apollo Theater is located in the heart of Chicago s Lincoln Park with a number of restaurants, coffee shops, bars and clubs nearby. Built in 1978 by theatre producers Jason Brett and Stuart Oken and twice renovated, it has a glass and concrete design. Its three-quarter thrust stage has 440 plush seats configured in just 11 rows, allowing audiences a special theatrical experience due to easy accessibility to the stage. Since its opening, the Apollo Theater has been home to many hits. Tickets are available at the theater box office and there are discounts for groups of more than 15 people. The theater is also available on hire for private group events.
