Founded in 1897 and located in Lake Villa, Ill., Allendale Association is a private, nonprofit social service agency, serving children and adolescents with emotional and behavioral disabilities. The center offers various community-based programs, including an outpatient counseling center, foster care licensing, training and support, independent living and transition support, and mentoring services. It also provides a full continuum of educational services, offering classes from grades kindergarten through12. Allendale Association s facility houses the Elizabeth Morse Special Education School, the Bradley Counseling Center and intensive residential treatment programs for children of ages 7- to 18-years. The association serves more than 700 children, youth, and families annually. The center is licensed and approved by Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, and is a member of American Psychological Association and National Association of Private Schools for Exceptional Children.
