KAID is a flagship station of Idaho Public Television, which is a PBS member network of stations covering the state of Idaho. Its stations are operated and funded by the Idaho State Board of Education. Founded in 1965, Idaho Public Television provides educational, cultural and related resources, as well as learning opportunities and fostering participation and collaboration in educational and civic activities. KAID serves the southwestern and central Idaho and the Wood River Valley. It is located in Boise, Idaho.
