Joan Scheingraber is a licensed acupuncturist and practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine, specializing in acupuncture, herbs, and other techniques to assist the body in its own healing process. With a degree from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine and experience studying at the Gui Lin Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China, Joan practices in both Ketchum and Hailey, Idaho. Alongside her passion for Chinese medicine, she is an avid skier, adventure athlete, and former coach of the US Disabled Ski Team.
Chinese medicine, based on the Yin Yang theory, aims to balance and harmonize all aspects of an individual's body, mind, emotions, and spirit. Through methods such as listening, pulse examination, tongue inspection, and pattern observation, Joan determines the pattern of disharmony that needs addressing. Guided by the belief that our true nature is health, Joan's approach is to help her clients return to a state of balance and well-being.
