The Arkansas Game & Fish Commission works to preserve, protect and conserve wildlife, birds and fishes for future generations. It offers habitat management, fish stocking, hunting and fishing regulation enforcement services. The department develops the Conservation for Arkansas Network, which is a database to contact hunters, anglers and conservationists. The Arkansas Game & Fish Commission maintains an education division that administers for a variety of educational programs, such as Becoming an Outdoors Woman, Project Wild, Hooked on Fishing-Not on Drugs, and Hunter and Boater Education. It has developed rules and regulations governing private ownership and the use of wild animals in Arkansas. The department also issues hunting and fishing licenses and permits.
