Founded in 1974, Ada County Juvenile Court Services is a public agency that assists youths in the development of social skills, as well as implements various programs to ensure the protection of the community. It serves more than 2,500 youths and families. The agency features a 70-plus-bed detention facility and over three courtrooms. It employs nearly 50 detention and approximately 15 support staff members. The agency conducts a range of field probation, diversion care management and prevention programs. It offers various clinical programs that include residential treatment, transitional care and outpatient services. The agency additionally provides counseling services in cases related to substance abuse, alcohol addiction and physical assault for individuals and their families. Ada County Juvenile Court Services offers court investigation, case management, crisis intervention, educational, electronic monitoring and community supervision services. The agency also provides advocacy, restitution and mediation services for victims. It works in partnership with the Ada Board of County Commissioners, Fourth Judicial Court, Ada County Prosecutor s Office and Ada County Public Defender s Office. The agency is a part of the government of Ada County in Idaho, which operates human resources, public information and risk management departments.
