Voices of Aloha is a long-standing choral group in Honolulu, Hawaii, with a rich history dating back to 1916 as the Gleemen of Honolulu. Over the years, the group has evolved and expanded, welcoming both men and women and changing its name to Gleemen Plus and eventually Voices of Aloha. Comprised of approximately 30 members from diverse backgrounds, the choir performs a wide range of musical genres, from classical to contemporary and Hawaiian favorites, and regularly entertains audiences at care homes, retirement communities, and public concerts.
Under the leadership of dedicated directors, including the current director Jim Cismowski, Voices of Aloha continues the tradition of community-mindedness and a love for music. With a mission to create a fellowship of singers and share the joy of choral singing, the group aims to inspire and entertain audiences through their beautiful performances. As a non-audition group, they welcome all who have a passion for singing and strive to make a positive impact on the community by offering free concerts at various venues and rehabilitation facilities.
