Windward Orthopedic group started with Drs Robert Simmons and Nemechek. We have taken care of the orthopedic needs of patients in Hawaii from trauma, hand, hip, knee and sports injuries. Surgical cases are done at Castle medical center and the Windward Surgery Center.

He has a special interest in robotic hip and knee replacement, muscle-sparing anterior total hip replacement, minimally invasive partial and total knee replacement rapid recovery protocols and outpatient hip/knee replacement.Born and raised in Honolulu, Dr. Richardson is a third-generation Native Hawaiian orthopedic surgeon. He attended college at the University of California, Berkeley. He then attended the University of Hawaii John A. Burns School of Medicine in Honolulu, Hawaii. Dr. Richardson completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina, one of the nations top-ranked orthopedic training programs.After completing his residency training in 2015, Dr. Richardson completed his subspecialist training in hip and knee joint replacement at the world-renowned Joint Implant Surgeons clinic in New Albany, Ohio.
