Maui Land & Pineapple Company is dedicated to land conservation and agriculture on the island of Maui in Hawaii. The company owns nearly 23,000 acres on the island, used primarily for pineapple cultivation. Maui Land & Pineapple Company was established in 1969, when Baldwin Packers merged with Maui Pineapple Company. In 1975, it incorporated the Kapalua Land Company as its subsidiary dedicated to resort development and the Maui Pineapple Company as its subsidiary devoted to pineapple and other agricultural operations. During the next 20 years, the Kapalua Land Company developed The Kapalua Resort, featuring premier hotels, championship golf courses and integrated residential communities. The Maui Pineapple Company cultivates three varieties of pineapple, which include traditional Champaka, extra-sweet Hawaiian Gold and Maui Organic Pineapple, and it operates one of the only pineapple canneries in the United States. Maui Land & Pineapple Company is headquartered in Kahului, Hawaii.
