History
The Institute of Clinical Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine (ICAOM) was established in 1996 by a group of practitioners who wanted to provide a more mainstream model of education in Oriental Medicine than was available in Hawaii at that time. ICAOM first enrolled students in September 1997. The Master of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) program graduated its first class in December 2001. ICAOM received national accreditation in November 2002 and was reaffirmed accreditation in 2007. ICAOM is first and foremost an institution of learning and teaching, committed to serving the needs of our students and society. The successful conduct of the Institute's affairs requires that every member of the Institute, faculty, staff, and students, acknowledge and practice basic principles. Welcome to the Teaching Clinic of the Institute of Clinical Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Our clinic is here to provide the public the experiences of healing with Chinese medicine. We offer the opportunity for effective, affordable treatments for many conditions using the modalities of Acupuncture, Herbal Medicine, Tui Na, Cupping, Moxibustion and lifestyle counseling. Our clinic provides individual treatment rooms for your comfort and privacy. Our experienced supervisors and interns are here to provide our patients with a professional setting for healing. Our Herbal Medicine clinic features over 400 varieties of Chinese herbs. For your first visit, we devote 1 hour and 30 minutes for a complete evaluation, consultation and treatment given by Master student intern with licensed Acupuncturist. We also specialized in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine training .
