History
Elly's Formal Wear & Bridals first started in the home of Elly Ewbank in Kihei, Maui. She enjoyed working many long hours, day and night, on her sewing machine creating custom made wedding and prom dresses. In 1994, Elly finally outgrew her home sewing room and opened a small 400sqft store in Kihei town. Elly's Formal Wear has now grown to Maui's largest bridal salon, offering designer wedding dresses, tuxedos and suits, prom dresses, special occasion formal wear, and specialty services. Elly retired in 2019 and passed the business onto her daughter, Terri, who will eventually pass it down to her daughter, Tatyana. Generation after generation, they each carry a passion for fashion, weddings, and providing a memorable customer service experience. Over the years, Elly's Formal Wear has contributed to non-profit organizations, high schools, scholarship pageants, charities and community events. They continually donate and support local organizations throughout Maui county and the state.
