The Federal Emergency Management Agency's Region IV headquarters is housed in a striking glass office building on Chamblee Tucker Road. The headquarters serves Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Kentucky, Mississippi, North and South Carolina and Tennessee. Several divisions are located inside the building, including grants management, mission support, mitigation, national preparedness, recovery and response. The building is not a place for a curious visit or leisurely stroll, however. Entrances and exits are gated, and visitors are not allowed onto the property without an appointment.
