Founded in 1978, Southface Energy Institute is a nonprofit organization, engaged in promoting energy, water and resource-efficient workplaces, homes and communities throughout the Southeast. Located in Atlanta, Ga., it works with the construction and development industry, government agencies and communities, offering various green building services. The institute offers home energy ratings, building certifications, design reviews, energy modeling/calculations, inspection/testing, along with building research and consulting services. Southface Energy Institute also provides various programs, such as EarthCraft and Grants to Green, to assist builders and local government officials.
