St. Peter Chanel is one of the largest Catholic churches in this area, serving more than 2,500 families. It was formed 12 years ago from St. Ann's in Marietta and is named after the Marist martyr, St. Peter Chanel, as an expression of gratitude to the Marist Order for its service here in the archdiocese.
The Parish mission is: "Nourishing the Body of Christ by nurturing one another through the guidance of the Holy Spirit."
The church is also home to a preschool, which welcomes students age 18 months through four years old. The preschool's mission statement is to help grow children spritually, emotionally, socially, intellectually and physically withing a loving and nurturing environment.
