Robins Air Force Base manages the 78th Air Base Wing, which provides medical, civil engineering, food, lodging, security and contracting services. The base operates the 402nd Maintenance Wing, which offers software development services for weapon systems and employs a staff of more than 6,000 people. The wing provides repair, modification and reclamation solutions for over 200 aircraft. Robins Air Force Base also manages the 542nd Combat Sustainment Wing, which designs, acquires, installs and sustains electronic warfare, avionic, support equipment, vehicles, missiles and weapons. The wing is responsible for the life cycle management of nearly 800 systems. It additionally manages the 330th Aircraft Sustainment Wing, which oversees unscheduled and programmed depot maintenance.
