Romar Academy is an independent school located in the East Point community just outside the Atlanta city limits. Its mission is to educate through the principles of learning, caring, growing and sharing. The elementary program includes students from kindergarten to sixth grade with before and after school care available. In addition to the regular academic program, the Romar Academy offers specialty classes for students who want in-depth knowledge of such subjects as science, computers, music theory, Spanish and physical education. The students' passion for learning is further enhanced by the Math Masters and Science clubs, with additional support in a life science specialty class provided by the Morehouse School of Medicine. The Romar Academy has organized sports programs and also offers karate, dance and piano lessons. In addition to education and sports, it offers field trips and scouting activities which allow students to enjoy diverse cultural activities.
