Recording for the Blind & Dyslexic is a national organization that partners with publishers and technology companies to help make formerly text-only sources accessible to the visually and mentally disabled. This means converting textbooks, literature and other written sources to voice recordings.
It is always looking for volunteers to help bring books to life by reading them aloud in the studio. The Athens-area studio is located between the UGA campus and downtown, and you can call to schedule an orientation schedule, or even learn how to submit recordings from your own home.
